- To SuperConverter Users:
-
- Some of you may be current or former users of the commercial conversion
- package SuperConverter, also written by me. Please be advised that
- version 5.03 of SNR now incorporates all of the features of
- SuperConverter plus it adds some enhancements of its own. The main
- differences are:
-
- 1. SNR does not require a unique setup code for each wild card type.
- This means you can safely perform wild card conversions on binary
- files without conflicts between wild card and data stream hex values.
-
- 2. SNR adds the new whitespace wild card type.
-
- 3. SNR's wild card conversion behavior has been improved.
-
- While I have tried to make SNR as table-compatible with SuperConverter
- as I could, I can't guarantee that your existing SuperConverter tables
- will run under SNR without modification. Due to the massive
- reprogramming undertaken in this version of SNR, there will probably be
- some differences in table processing that will require you to revise
- some of your SuperConverter tables to conform to the SNR standard. I
- will be happy to assist any of you in porting your tables from
- SuperConverter to SNR as my time permits. If you register your copy of
- SNR, I will make the time.
